That's exactly what we built ten minutes up the Promenade in Cleveleys. You get the whole boutique to yourselves, your own stylist, and time to actually enjoy it.
We're an easy hop from anywhere in Blackpool. The Blackpool–Fleetwood tram runs right along the seafront and stops in Cleveleys, so plenty of our Blackpool brides come by tram and make a morning of it. If you're driving, it's around 15 minutes up the coast road, with town-centre parking a short walk from our door.

Closer than you think
If you live in north Blackpool, we are your nearest boutique
Brides in Bispham, Norbreck, Anchorsholme and Little Bispham often assume the dress shopping happens in town. It does not have to. From that end of the promenade we are closer than Church Street, and considerably easier to park at. If you are marrying at the Norbreck Castle, we are the boutique down the road rather than the one across the tram tracks.
It matters more than it sounds. A dress appointment is not a quick errand. You will come back for fittings, probably three times, and the last one is usually the week of the wedding when you have plenty else to think about. Ten minutes each way, with somewhere to leave the car, is worth a great deal by the third visit.
Choosing where to go
Bridal shops in Blackpool, and how we differ
There is no shortage of bridal shops in and around Blackpool, and they are not all doing the same job. Some are chain stores where you take the sample home the same day. Some are alteration studios that also sell gowns. A few, like us, are small independent boutiques where the dress is ordered to your measurements from the designer and everything happens by appointment.
Worth knowing before you book anywhere: ask whether the appointment is private or shared, whether the person with you is the owner or a Saturday assistant, and which labels they are an authorised stockist for. Those three answers tell you most of what the day will feel like.
We are an independent bridal shop ten minutes north of Blackpool on Victoria Road West in Cleveleys, stocking Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, Rebecca Ingram, Justin Alexander and Hayley Paige. One bride in the building at a time, and it is Brittany or Gill with you throughout. If a chain store or a bigger showroom suits you better we will happily say so, we would rather you found the right dress than the nearest one.
Before you book
What actually happens at an appointment
Ninety minutes, the whole boutique to yourselves, and either Brittany or Gill with you the entire time. Nobody hands you over halfway through and nobody hovers.
We start by talking rather than pulling dresses off rails. Where you are marrying, what time of year, what you have already tried and hated, what you are quietly worried about. Most brides arrive with a picture on their phone and leave with something quite different, and that is normal. The gown people choose is very often not the shape they walked in asking for.
Then we pull four or five to begin with, not twenty. Too much choice makes the decision harder, not easier. You get into them properly, with clips and padding so you can see the real shape rather than imagining it, and we tell you honestly what each one is doing for you. If something is not right we will say so. That is the part brides tell us they were not expecting.
There is no charge for the appointment and no obligation to buy. If you find it here, wonderful. If you do not, we would rather point you somewhere that might have it than keep you in the room.
Straight answers
What a gown costs here
Our gowns start at £1,105 and the middle of the collection sits around £1,630. Just under half of what is on the rails is below £1,500. A handful of couture gowns go above £4,000.
Two of our labels ask stockists not to publish prices against individual gowns, so on some pages you will see "enquire for price" instead of a figure. Ask us on the phone or at the appointment and we will tell you immediately, before you try anything on. We would rather you knew.
Budget for alterations on top, because almost every gown needs them, and ask us for a realistic figure at the appointment rather than a vague one. A boutique that will not talk about money until you are emotionally committed to a dress is not doing you a favour.
Timing
How far ahead to start looking
Twelve to fourteen months before the wedding is comfortable. A made-to-order gown takes a good while to come, and then you want unhurried time for fittings rather than a rush at the end.
If your date is closer than that, come anyway and say so when you book. We have gowns on the rail that can go home with you, and our outlet rail exists for exactly this situation. We have dressed brides with six weeks to go. It is not a reason to put off the appointment.
Try to book your first appointment for a morning, and try not to book three boutiques in one day. By the third you will not be able to tell what you liked.

How far is your bridal boutique from Blackpool?
We're about 15 minutes up the coast in Cleveleys (FY5 3LG), roughly six miles from Blackpool town centre. The Blackpool–Fleetwood tram stops right in Cleveleys, so you can even come by tram along the seafront.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we're appointment-only, which is what makes it special. Booking guarantees a private fitting suite and your own stylist. Book online or call 01253 857313.

Is there parking?
Yes. There is on-street parking on Victoria Road West and a car park a short walk away, both far easier than parking in Blackpool town centre on a Saturday. We will send directions and parking notes with your booking confirmation.

How many people can I bring?
Bring whoever you actually want there. We would gently suggest two or three rather than six. The fitting suite is private either way, but too many opinions tends to make the decision harder for the person whose wedding it is.
What sizes are your sample gowns?
Our samples span roughly UK 8 to 24, and we clip and pad so you can see the true shape whatever size the sample is. We will tell you honestly what a gown will and will not do on the day you try it rather than after you have ordered.
Do you do alterations?
We work with a seamstress our brides consistently praise, and we will give you a realistic idea of the cost at your appointment rather than leaving it as a surprise later.
I am getting married soon, is it too late?
Probably not. We have gowns that can leave with you, plus an outlet rail of one-off samples at reduced prices. Tell us your date when you book and we will work to it.
